Yesterday my ignition got stuck in the ON posistion and i was unable to tun off o remove the key, this also caused my heater fans, heated rear window and power steering to go off aswell. :wall::wall::wall:

I got home and m dad stalled the car to turn it off and disconnected the battery, today have taken the barrel out but have no idea what the problem is or what i need to get my car running again.

I have also noticed that on the back of the barrel there are small teeth that fit into the plastic switch that sits behind the barrel have snapped off...

any help would b greatly appreciated.

This happened to mine mate, you need to get the wiring that comes out of the back of the barrel. Its quite straight forward to do. Dw about the barrel being fucked, it'll be fine. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to get the barrel out though. Once it's out it's plain sailing. Took me about an hour.

Yer, you'll see on the white barrel with the wiring attached to it, there is a switch. This is where the pin's sit on the barrel. When you but the new one on, make sure its all in the same position. Don't move any of it lol. As I said in the message I sent you, if you have any problems just let me know.

Hi Liam,

Sorry for such late reply, internet has been down at my house for a few weeks :wall:... and iv been busy and forgot to respond to this thread..

I ordered wiring attached to the switch and luckily the guy sent the whole thing, barrel included and key lol, my dad fitted it and BAM! done, so thanks for your help Lee, seemed you were the only guy on here who knew how or wanted to help me out....

Many thanks,
Craig
