View Full Version : Important! : urgent help needed!!! flashing dash lights

my h.u went last night and i dont know why!!
anyway took the hu out today to have a look and one wire(yellow) came loose from this little box!!(thats the fault)

but thats not the problem
everythin is disconnecterd right now but when i turn my engine on/lights the dash lights just flash!!!:wall:

the petrol guage doesn come up nor do the interior lights:wall:

my headlights/fogs and rears are all working.
indicators and hazards too

whats wrong and how do i fix this??
not worried about the hu just my dials atm!!

please help

thats a tricky one have you tried soldering the wire back on and make sure all the conections are back in make sure your dimmer switch for the dash is connected or the dash will not light up either

maybe because the wire was loose its has short circuited and blown a fuse. the radio and parts of the dash are on the same circuit.
check in the handbook which fuse the radio is on and try replacing the fuse, normally you can see if they have blown but sometimes you cant tell so its best to replace with one you know is good.

iv now watched the video, i would say its probably a loose connection (maybe in that connection block), or something to do with that blue light strip thingy you have there.

problem solved!
was a blown fuse!!
head unit still not working now though
