Hi guys, I have a 1000 watt 10" sub, I've hardly used it so Id like to know if it's possible to get parts so I can use it as a sub as part of mp3 speakers.

So I'd have two speakers and car sub. So effectively it would be 2.1 speakers like with a pc

how would I go about doing this?
Thanks

same as the car really.

Your going to need an amp to power both the sub and the speakers. Need to check the amp as most household amps work on 8ohms and most car speakers are 4 or less.

MP3 player would be the source and needs connecting to the amp most likely via a jack to phono lead.

Ok thanks mate. Would you say it's worth doing, I'm guessing the household amp would be about £50? I may just buy some 2.1 pc speakers as the subwoofers on them arnt to bad
