What should I do with it ?

Hey, Recently I was involved in some nasty Sh*t that basically ended up in me gettin a serious head injury. Concussion, head scar fractured skull, and brain contusion.
I'm awaiting a compensation claim (Not mounds I dont think, maybe £4000 ish at least) and was just wondering what I should do if I get some money as I would like to put some toward a new car.
I have a posi blue 2001 Y reg VTR with 52 k on it mint condition inside and out so maybe i could sell that for around £1800.. But if I put that together with (Some) of my compo, If I wanted a new hot hatch, What car should I get, based on peoples experience of driving them? I really like the look of the C2 Vts ( heard its not quick though) but love the interior and looks of the Fiesta ST 2.0 aswell.
Also theres a part of me inside saying.. get a saxo VTS lol.... I love the saxo but it just felt a bit small and rattly so i fancied a change onto something a bit more solid.

Put it in the Bank, "credit crunch" = Unpredictable and you never know when the money might come in handy.

Still spend some of it though :)

Lol yeah well i was planning to save some defo... what do u think i would get for my injuries ? im not sure what to expect... i was hit on the head with a metal bar lol cracked my skull had brain bleeding (cerebal contusion) concussion n fat head scar... and a few months off work for confusion headaches and i had to have physio therapy... i was in hospital 4 days ... my mate got 3000 just for a head cut on his head a few months back.

Put it in the bank for a rainy day mate...as said above these are very unpredictable times and its always good to have a little nest egg put away somewere just incase its ever needed.

I'm waiting on a claim coming through as well and equal pay from work and i'll be putting the majority of it into the bank...i think i've finally grown up and got the sensible head on lol.

Id Feel sad to let me vtr go reallly lol but i just wanted something more modern inside and a little more solid im sure u can appreciate what i mean... i have no idea what ill get so maybe ill get a bit more than i expect lol.. i gotta give my old ddear some aswell for helpin me out while i was off.

No i think some of you may have misunderstood me i dont want a `new' car .( my fault for saying NEW lol ).. i meant a second hand one of course, maybe with 30 40k on it... i was jus giving an example of the fiesta ST and C2 VTS that i loved the looks of..
I understand all you sentiments with the advice of not going wild and i can assure you i will have my sensible head on and be carefull.. i was just asking really as to what you would get if you was to move onto something else lol

Lol dont worry i wont go silly.. i was just asking cause ive never really had a lump sum before so i would like to treat myself depending on what i get... i may look into an ST ... they do look nice especially the interior ... i know it was a bit of a hit or miss subject but ive had a bit of a shitty year to be honest and i like to ask people what they think of something before i consider buying one ... St's arent too expensive are they.. ive seen them for around the 4 - 6 k mark

Fuck it, your only young once. Spend it on what ever you fancy on the time. I'd personaly got to Amsterdam and get smashed with a few buddies for a week, come home and do a few bits to the paxo.

Lol, thanks mate but i think i will save some ... if i go the dam the misses wont be too happy cause she knows what people go over there for and she would not come haha... plus my mates are skint.. Ill do the clever thing.. help my folks out n .. see what i got left n save...
