Then i recieved a Pm from a member on here saying he has one and will sell it me for £55 posted so i fort oh that reasonable deal so said yes i will have it. So next day i went bank and payed him the money in, by bank transfer once he had give me his details, i txt him to say i had payed the money and he said yeah i recived it and will send it out. I waited a few days and was wondering when it will turn up and he kept on blanking me and didnt anwser or return my calls or txt's then i pm'd him on here saying has it been posted and got a reply after sending 3 or 4 saying 'i will chase it up' and it has now been around 2 weeks since i payed him can anyone give any advice and just like to warn people about this his user is 'saxxy1988'
I also have his Mob number and bank details if that helps.
So i think i have been scammed :wall:

there has been a massive thread about this guy...yet people still keep buying from him.
I personally would never pay someone via bank transfer unless they were a very close friend...its just asking for trouble.
I recommend in the future people pay via paypal goods/service so atleast you have a chance of claiming your money back if necessary.

and always either check their itrader or get someone to confirm that they are a reliable seller.
atleast you will know not to do it next time, could have cost you much more!

Ridiculous really mate isn't it? People should just be doing bank trasfers to be honest, but I cannot seem to grasp how he is still getting away with it. His name has been about for quite a while now.

the police can do that for you mate, aslong as you report it. Contrary to popular belief, they do collate all reports and build a case.

It needs everyone to keep pestering the police over it, they will soon sort it if they get enough reports

Dunno about you mate, but I'd go to the police over a tenner! (look after the pennies bla bla et) And to my knowledge, this guy has been doing £50's, £100's left right and centre. I'm urging people to go to the police over it. It takes 5mins to make a call and a couple of statements which isn't too much is it?

To be fair mate, when the publics lives are at risk (ie: dangerous driving) then that does take priority. But every criminal piece of activity in this world is in theory meant to be dealt with.

Sean had the police at his house over it once to try and help members out, we prob have details back in mods somewhere but they cannot be distributed because of data protection.

guys rather than posting new and individual threads about this guy, it would make sense to create one post with all the peoples names and forum names, how much you have paid him and for what item. that way you can get a big list together then get someone to contact their local trading standards about it/
example (i have not bought anything of this guy but thought it easier if everyone keeps to a set template so have done this as a sample)
1) James Pettipher (Jungle_Jim), front bumper, £50, 23/11/09, payment via paypal

yes and no deks
you can do an ip ban where the user can not get on the site at all but some peoples do not have static ip's meaning that they are changing all the time
plus mobile phones ip addresses are never the same

read this far been scammed then report it to the police, no action can be taken unless you report it. then and only then can something be done about scammers
its not pointless the more reports the easier it is for action to be taken
