I got my saxo around 4 weeks ago, and used to start it up every couple of days as i wouldnt be driving it for a further two weeks,
the day i took it out for a drive the engine management light came on and is still on a week later,
i had thought it may have just been because it was sat for a while and needed a good run, but that doesnt seem to have solved the problem
i just dont understand how its just suddenly came on? is it anything to worry about?
thanks

usually lamba sensors.
Might of come abit loose whilst driving?
Personally i haven't had lamba sensors connected for 4 months, makes no difference.
Other people will say it 'could' overfuel, but clearly it's a hit n miss situation.

ive not noticed any problems since driving it, i checked the lambadas, there is only two isnt there? they are both on really tight
i presumed it was just needing a long drive since it was sitting for two weeks, but it doesnt seem to have helped

could be one in a million things you need to get it plugged in and find out what codes are comming up

Running the standard manifold with CAT? If so, could be the CAT is on its way out. Get a garage to plug into the OBD2 port and check the fault code.

im 90% sure the cat on mine is in the manifold? its completely standard apart from the sportex backbox
although i was taking off random plugs in the engine to clean it, could this have affected it? ive made sure they are all on correct though, and it wasnt lighting up afterwards..
