power steering and fan stay on when engine off but still will car on.

the battery light has recently started flickering when speeding up and i noticed last night when i stopped my car my power steering pump had stayed on and my heater fan stayed on the heater never usually dose that. it dose not do this all the time tho.

also is there a way around the oil filter problem of it hitting my four branch manifold as its for a mk1 mine is a mk 2

my battery light flickered when the alternator was on the way out. The contacts wear down, and wont charge the battery fully.
