problems,need some advice

just bought a vtr as a project. she will fire up and stay running for a few mins then dies and wont start for about 5 mins. ive put new plugs in,fresh fuel etc ive noticed when you turn the ignition on there is no fuel pump sound so do you think the pump is knackered?? hopefully someone can help :y:

when it wont fire up check the pump for power if its there then you have you answer
