In my old car (before my saxo) I used to turn the key in my ignition and my head unit always turned on straight away, some how my saxo doesn't, and i have to manually turn it on, aswell as it resets all my configurations within the headunit like bass control, treble, etc!

I heard theres a way of overcoming this, splicing and swapping two wires together on the saxo side of the ISO cable, I would really appreciate if someone could show me some pics or guide me on what wires to cut and replace, thankyou!

disconnect the stereo wiring loom from the cars loom. On the stereo loom you will see a red and a yellow wire. These are the power wires one is the ignition live and the other the permanent live.

These wires come with bullet connectors and pull apart easily, pull them apart. Connect the red wire to the yellow and the yellow to the red and replug the loom back in. Turn your headunit on, store some stations then remove your keys from the ignition. Again turn the unit back on and the stations should be saved.
