hey guys
i havnt had a bike in about a year now! well. other than the ocasional blip on the XJR and mates VFR.
ive had the R6, the GSXR and never been a massive fan of the Ninja's!
(bad experience with a JP1)
so looking at getting a new bike for myself for x-mas, something with a bit of nip behind it, cheap and well... coest effective is my main concern!
been looking at the Kawasaki Z750sport
opinions?
for those not into bikes :
105 Bhp
78Nm of Torques
223kg in weight ;)

didnt want to go over 8 for the bike... but wanted New rather than 2nd hand!
this one comes in at 5.5k and insurance is dirt cheap!
im only 19! with 1NCB - my insurance on the R6 was 2grand,(but i will only go fully comp) so not the most practical route to go down again!

I'm going to be looking for a Z750 next year. Gooing to enjoy another year of the Monster and then that's what i want after. I think they look really smart and they aren't slouche's. Not riden one yet though, so can't offer too much advice, but i've heard alot of good stuff :y:

i had a K6 (600) for a while... enjoyed it, but its getting too common for all the young lads to pass their tests ad the first big bike is an SRAD or something old.
i like being that bit different!
though the 750 has crossed my mind so many times!
much noticable difference between the 6 and 750, thats worth paying for?

The GSXR750 is meant to be a brilliant bike. My Aunty loved her's and my dad's boss owned it after her and also loved it. Alot of people say they're ideal for the road as they arent as brutal as the 1000's but still have plenty of pace. That said both of them own new Fireblade's now and reckon they are THE best bike's they've riden. I've noticed my Aunty get lazy on her Blade too. Not in a bad way as such, but the amount of effort she has to put into corners etc. She's a VERY quick rider and she's awesome to watch, she sling's the bike over and get's it right over and bum hanging off the seat etc. But she reckons the Blade is so easy to ride she dosen't actually need to do all that.... But she realised and is now putting more effort back in lol.

sounds like a good rider! i dont want anything i can just sit there and ride, i like to have my fun with them too!
ive read somewhere you can get alot more *in the means of performance / efficency and not strain it* out of these lumps though, as they are based / same in parts as the ZX9 engine!

Faster and cheaper than a Saxo though ;)
Probably safer aswell tbh lol

I rather die in a Saxo than on a bike

yes the 750 is more like the thou ...srad you can't go wrong awesome bike for age, i brought one new in 99 and it's still in the garage 8000K dry miles mostly on track, never sell it. used K1 and K4 thou's since then. now i want a K6 thou on a 07 plate and keep that as long... go find a mint 750 srad...

they had a massive group test in ride magazine a while ago i think and the best bike to come out of it was the triumph street triple. ( they were all nakeds)
the street triple 'r' is even better but they wanted to give the other bikes a fighting chance so only used the standard triple.
its a bit quicker than the z750 with more grunt and a bit more wheelie friendly if you want it. you can throw them round the corners better aswell.
its the one i would go for.

I've been on a gxr-750 SRAD, felt very heavy comparing to a zx9-r.
The zx9-r is a beast tho. Never broke in 3 years of hard riding, Very flick-able in the twistys and got plenty of grunt to keep up with the 1000s on the straights.
Uncles got a zx6-r, and that's rapid in the bends too.
