my temp gauge was working when i first got the car but then stopped sudently while i was driving ive checked the fuse and put a new sensor in but it still dont work :wacko: any ideas? cheers

oil or water temp gauge?

I presume it is your water temperature gauge. If it is try cleaning up the earth point which is situated on the base of the left hand pillar post. If this dosn't solve the problem , then it could be your actual gauge.

yeh its my water gauge ill look at the earthing point when i get a chance

And also try disconnecting the battery for a few mins.

i doubt itl be an earthing point as all your dash dials/lumination goes through the same earth (E2) so if its just this gauge that isnt working it wont be the earth point.
its probably the stepper motor,my speedo motor went,just replace the cluster.

replace thermostat and then bleed the system, i had the same problem last week and the thermostat was broken, cost me about £8 from euro car parts and i used some gasket sealent to seal the housing afterwards and then bled it through.
cheap fix and 20 mins to fix if its that.
