iPod/iTunes help :)

I am getting a new laptop and want to transfer my music over from iTunes. I know how to swap them across, but is there any way to keep my playlists and song ratings? If i swap my iTunes folder over via an external hard drive, will this do it?

Don't want to lose my playlists really as i use the iPod in the car, so i have 25-30+ playlists with thousands of individually picked songs in :(

Just put all your playlists on your ipod, then plug it into the new lappy and transfer them across mate? Or am i missing the point :S

Right click on your playlist and clikc on export.
