I agree with hessle. What's a cars registration got to do with an insurance quote. Just give an insurance company a call, give them the make and model and there's your quote.

true, but let him have his way and get on with whatever he wants to do and needs it for. plus that tells you how many owners it has had, which is useful!

Daniel... I'm not sure if your comment was aimed at me aswell as a few others but just look at your first post.

You said that your sister has just passed her test and is looking for an insurance quote. Now, if you asked what good (cheap) insurance companies there are, then fine. But you then went on to ask what websites can give you a make and model of car by inputting the registration details. Now to me, it appears you are now asking something completely different. If so, that is why I and others are confused.

I wasn't being an asshole at all, Baz I wasn't referring to you either, and my question pretty much remained the same, I needed to know what type of Megane it was, seemed like the easiest way off finding out to me?

It's OK I found out now anyway thanks to Baz, My insurance company asked me what model it was, I knew it was a Renault Megane 5DR hatchback & I knew the registration number..

Obviously I'm retarded and cant explain what I needed to know
