Hi been on here for a while now so thought it was about time i made a progress thread :y:

I swopped my mg zr for the sax back in febuary which was the worst decission ive ever made :oops: but as the months have gone on i have now started to love her :y:

Some of you may reconise this car untill i destroyed it ;) was on here alot and went to alot of shows

Done very well mate imo. Not a fan of it at all at the beginning but looks really good now. Rear wheels are crying out for spacers though. Like the back of the car aswell, it's different and it has been pulled off well :y:

Yeah a disc beam sits 10mm out further than a drum one so. I've got 25mm spacers on the rear but thats with a drum beam. Does make the stance better with spacers on the rear though :)

Also, just my opinion, but i'd either have the front and rear bumper blue to match the sides or have the sides black to match the front and the rear.

UPDATE:

Morning saxpers :y: me and my dad have been busy yesterday managed to get the manifold and the induction kit on and what a job it was :( . First of all i rounded of two of the bolts either side of the manifold :oops: luckly for me i :mobile: my dad and he was on his way round. It took a while to get on but we got there in the end and i must say the manifold imo is exellent quality for the money as is the induction kit......anyway here some pictures :p

People are gonna be very divided, Webby pretty much summed it up within the first 5 posts of this thread, people are either gonna be "Now it looks like every other Saxo on this site (subtle/smoothed [which I like personally]), as opposed to wild unique max power bodykits of 5-10+ years ago. Yes, it looks quite standard now.. but then, not always a bad thing, smoothed boot and bonnet set it apart, 'S wheels look nice, although, not my first choice on posi blue, et cetera, but you're right, if you're not 17, and it's not 10 years ago, it probably does look ridiculous, and now, personally, I wouldn't like to drive that.

Bit of an update :p

Spent all day on the car today go the bumpers off and dropped them off at the spray shop.
Whilst the bumpers are off ive decided to take te car of the road for a week and tidy it up.
Im goind to be wire brushing any rust the using zinc primer then poisden blue to finish it off.
Im also going to be tidying up all the wiring in the bay as its a reet mess and paint the battery and ecu trays.
My GTI-6 calipers discs and pads came today so ive made a start on painting them before they go on.
Also whilst its off the road ill be steam cleaning the arches primering them then underseal then fit some arches as there have been none on the car for severn years lol.

fcuk'd the calipers up my painting skills must be shocking it looked simples to do bloody hammerite is all tacky so im taking them to the powdercoaters today :p

Small update for you guys :y: cleaned up and sprayed the slam pannel and rear pannel.

Then a FAIL happend tried to reverse up my drive with a can of relentless in my hand :panic:

Then another FAIL got my bumpers back and because i took the bodykit of and put on bumpers that i think were from a mk1 so when i gave the sprayer the car colour code this happened :fcuk: the bump stip being the actual colour of my car

And finally an EPIC FAIL happened my girlfriends dad totalled my girlfiends mums car :n:

Been out on the car again today and got a few things done :y:.

I sprayed the inner archs with zinc primer then sprayed blue

And i went to manchester this morning to swop over my hid kit as they were playing up and decided to get an 8000k 50w kit instead of the 10000k 35w kit wow how much brighter :p so cracked on and wired it all up :y:

Errrm...:S not just yet but the cars back together now looks alot better going to get some new side repeaters and numberplates this week or next still waiting for my calipers :y:

I never did them mate the aircraft sprayers in my dads work did :P

And thanks for all the comments guys im happy with it now but it still needs more yet (And 16 valves :fcuk:) the grill still dosnt look rite but i carnt put my finger on why i might spray the mesh silver :y: hopefully get it to a few shows this year definatley going to usc lst years was amazing and modified live in alton park i also want to try and get to the fast show a french car show :y:

They did do a mk1 focus RS & mk1 st aswell then they went onto the newer shape with a st and now the New RS the 300bhp one.. wich nij (saxokid) has..
