okay, ive just got an iphone but didnt fancy getting bummed with a contract so, i need a new sim to go with it
the best sim i have found is the '3' £15 a month one which has unlimited txts, 300mins and unlimited internet which is perfect for me tbh
but i wonna try and get a better deal, 500txts would suit me fine no less than 200 mins but i must have unlimited internet (its a iPhone so deffo need this!!)
dont wonna pay more than £15 a month either
can anyone find a better deal? also anyone had experience with '3's service as ive never used them before..
cheers much love xx

Another very similar deal is the O2 pay as you go sim card which for £15 a month gives you unlimited texts and internet and your calls come from the £15 (not sure how many minutes that is) http://freesim.o2.co.uk/nvBtjrmP

3's service is alright, they are all forgien though. Just keep telling them something and they will do it.
I thought the T Mobile sim only was the best when i looked like a month ago..?

I'd rather go with 3 actually.

I've just changed to O2 simplicity. With all the sim deals youve mentioned so far you wont get visual voicemail or free wi-fi at all the hotspots.
For £20 a month on O2 you get:
1200 txts
600 mins (anytime any network)
Unlimited data (3g, edge, gprs)
Unlimited wi-fi (all bt and cloud hotspots in the UK)
Visual voicemail
This is also a rolling 30 day contract so if you change your mind you've only got to wait a month. It's called O2 simplicity 20 iPhone and it's brand new.
Also, be careful with "Unlimited data" plans as they will usually stick a stupid fair usage poilcy on it. Vodafones is 1gb a month, orange is 750mb a month but O2's is unlimited.

ye i found the '3' package has a 1gb limit, so there technically not unlimited in my eyes but there package is more than enuff for me, the 02 plan is abit overkill for what i need so doubt ill spend the extra £5 to get unlimited wifi/visual voice mail etc..
what is visual voicemail anyways? im probally gonna go with the £15 3 package before they change it to something shit when it runs out..

Visual voicemail is one of the best features of the iPhone. Instead of having to call up and listen through some computer list your messages, they simply display as messages under the voicemail application and you can play/pause skip back and forth etc. Can also save them on you phone so you never lose them.
I'd pay the extra £5 for the unlimited data/wi-fi, voicemail and the extra minutes if i were you.

ive had like 1 voicemail in the last 2 years lol so doubt ill use tht feature at all lol though it sounds cool, 1gb is abit shit as a limit but i can live with it and the places i go have loads of wifi spots open for me anyways so wont need the wifi hotspots either
and the txts/mins are enuff too, will probs stick with the 3 package,
only downside ive noticed with the 3 sim, is that u have to keep 3g enabled to have ANY signal and 3g kills battery life which sucks whereas i can turn 3g off on my current sim and still do normal stuff which is weird tbh

On the o2 simplicitys you dont get the wifi bolt on anyway. That is only on the iPhone tariffs unless you want to pay 7.50 for it on a simpicity. Also with o2 there fair usage policy is 250mb so a quarter of 3's.
You should be fine with 1GB a month on 3. I work for o2 and the only time you see someone that has used over 1GB is when they have used there phone as a modem. 1GB on a phone is alot of browsing.

If its pay as you go I think you do for 1 year.
On the iPhone contracts you do but on a simplicity you get 1 free bolt on, which will be the web bolt on. The wifi bolt on is different.

You get 1 free years of data if you buy a pay as you go iphone providing that you use the simcard that came with it. That's data over 3G, edge and GPRS, not wi-fi hotspots.
If you get the iPhone simplicity tariff, for £20 a month you get unlimited data/wi-fi and visual voicemail.

You do know your iPhone is probably locked to certain sims, Right?
The sim that comes with the iPhone comes with 12 months unlimited internet usage.

They're locked to networks. If you change the sim you simply wont get the free 12 months data.
If you have an iPhone that's been in contract for 12 months or more, O2 will unlock it for you for free.

They're not locked to networks, you can use any o2 3G sim card in an iPhone. You can't use a normal sim.
I'm not sure about that, i'd just unlock mine myself with Yellowsn0w

Eh?
You can use any O2 sim card because it's locked to the O2 network.

I'm pretty sure it requires a 3G simcard, but okay..

Regardless of what type of sim card you need, it will still be locked to whichever network it was purchased on.

all 3g sim cards work in iphones aslong as its unlocked which can be done by jailbraking or getting 02 to do it.
not sure about shitty old sims but u wouldnt use one of them anyways in an iphone
