There's loads of stuff I want to do on my Saxo but It comes down to Money! I have loads of Ideas but I figured the best place to start was on the outside :)
It's a white flat arch and all the Plastic Trim Is going to be sprayed white.
I've got a mate who's a sprayer but I could save a bit of Cash doing It myself. Another mate of mine attempted this and It came out ok but was textured Instead of Smooth like the body Panels, Is this because He didn't sand down enough? Didn't use Plastic Primer?
Anyway, what will I need?
Sandpaper? Quantity and Grades?
Primer? Quantity and which kind?
Gloss Black Spray? Quantity and which kind?
Laquer? Quantity and which kind?
Link would be great as would tips!
Thanks, Butch

Want some real honest advice?? Just save save save and get someone that knows what there doing before you de-value the car and make it look a complete mess...
It could go so soooo wrong and end up looking awfull....
Honestly id NEVER attempt this.. people go to college etc to learn this kind of thing not a quick shop to halfords and a tin of paint in there garage job done!!
Honestly tho PLEASE dont do it!

Don't listen to people who say just leave to the professionals.
Its only a flat arched saxo so its not like you will de-value it if you fuck up.
What I suggest you do is get the Haynes spraying manual and practise on bits and pieces before you do it on the car.

As long as you take your time and do it somewhere with enough space then it will be fine. I've done spoilers and even a bumper with spray cans and the finish was perfect.

Dont go too close when spraying... youll end up with runs!
Dont go too far when spraying... Youll end up with dryness!
Dont go too slow when spraying ... youll end up with runs!
Dont go to fast when spraying... youll end up with dryness!
Have fun :D
Oh.. and make sure you rub it down properly! then wipe it down properly so theres no
dust or anything NOWHERE! other wise it will just look shait...
Mask up PROPERLY!!
Paper - go for anything above 500+ id say.. nothing less than that.. primer should cover it all up...
Then 1000grade+ to give the primer a quick rub down...
Then spray ahead! :D Have fun!

personally i wouldnt go to halfords for the paint- if you can go somwhere where they mix it then you will get a better result, from personal experiance anyway.

Its easy doing it tbh i wouldnt spray any thing bigger than a bumper thoe tbh if doing by CAN.
Just take your time when prepping the to be painted area.
