i am looking to get some french plates for my saxo, just wondering, do you have to have that small writing under the actual number itself? Every plate i have seen has some sort of text (usualy the car dealership they bought the car from)

Cheers

Its a postcode. If they're legal the postcode will be on there.

So if i get THESE (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Made-to-Order-NUMBER-PLATES-100-UK-Road-Legal-CITROEN_W0QQitemZ300381454045QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item45f0213ed d)

No. They will put their postcode on them somewhere. You'll barely see it unless you get really close. They're road legal so it will be on there somewhere. You can put whatever you want at the bottom.

French License Plates are in fact NOT legal if they're placed on a car in Britain.

He is getting the ones with GB sign mate. So yes in fact they are legal. They're only illegal if they have an F as opposed to a GB sign.
