I personally reckon they were hungry and seen the big one and thought its about time he loses all his weight but they ripped him apart all that was left was the eyes, bones and its teeth!

m8 used to throw a chunk of boiled ham(proper ham off the bone) in the tank when they were hungry as a party trick..... the rumours about them arent lies, they wil strip meat from bone in seconds, his were ilegal imported fish from mexico but fuck me they didnt half do the job,

you want a pleck to clean the glass of your tank and they eat quite alot of the crap in there aswell.
maybe some bottom feeders aswell like clown loach but you have to find out how you want it to look before you buy anything.
if you want a community tank look at tetras, gourami ,platies, guppys and so on you can get some really colourful fish now for tropical tanks.
i used to have marine tanks which cost a fortune and you could wake up in a morning and have a fish die that cost you £300 not good

Yeah i am quite a distance away from you, they may have more selection but the quality and size you would get from my stock will far better and adapted to tank life, plus all you need to do is tell me what you want and i can get pretty much everything they stock on their

As king said, read up alot, have a look on practical fishkeeping forum I learned alot there when i started out a few years ago.
Be careful what plec you choose also as alot can grow over a 12" some over 2foot

Not sure on the exact size. 4ft maybe

My uncle works for a Fish Shop so we manage good discount on most stuff. But i know it owes my dad a few grand with buying it from the start to today!

Nice tank. Used to keep and breed fish, had 7 tanks on the go at once at one time. Also had a tank with a Tiawanese prawn in it, he used to eat live fish and got to about 6inches long before he died while I was on holiday - relative wasn't feeding my fish properly :( miss him he was entertaining. Will try to get another one day, they are hard to get hold of.

i love marine tanks really expensive to get a good setup though, plecks are what you want to keep your tank clean we have a couple of albino ones and all they do is eat!
