as above kiddywinkles!!! just a thougth... sax-p is fairly maffiss now as was before i joined, do ppl find it hard to get a user name that isnt taken? with hotmail etc its world wide and i struggled gettin in but not so much as others, do ppl find there first attempt is rejected as its taken? i know now when i joined i was the only blackie at that time but then there was three now just two iirc? thoughts and discussion plz!!

I think so, as i got mine changed from "Saxo_vtr123" as when i joined just "Saxo_vtr" was't available. I think members who joined 2003,2004,2005 and havn't been on in 3 years or so are deleted maybe?

Not sure about members being deleted after so long as 40+k is a lot of members!
But I think it's pointless having a model after your name as you will prob upgrade!
I used to be blackvtrkev but then got a silver vts so my username seemed silly!
You can rarely go wrong with forename and DoB.

but i know what you mean... im sure there is an active member cycle where if i memer is inactive for x amount of days they qualify for deletion but maybe simo or a mod can confirm...alot of sites have deleted the inactive shit now as they still claim revenue for the members in some way..dont know how this works and dont think sax-p does this or there wouldnt be new user names previoulsey taken available now? MODS IF YOU KNOW COMMENT!!!

I think 'Alex' was taken quite early on, then was inactive for ages and when I was a mod I was going to change to that, but didn't get round to it. Then current 'Alex' did a name change.

its not wrong atall, its a setup thats operated on several other forums.

if you dont sign in within a set time period, eg 6 months, you recieve an email to see if you still want to keep your account active, if no response within 4 weeks then a second reminder email is sent, if ain nothing is recieved within 2 weeks then the accounts is deleted.

unless obviously one of the mod team is aware of a reason why the person cannot get online for some reason.
