Loud Whirring noise in 5th?

hi guys , just got my car back today after an engine change , and when its in 5th gear and i accelerate it makes a lound whirring noise the best thing i can describe it as is like an aircraft noise when its engines are starting as the sound pitch gets higher the more i rev :S doesnt do it in any other gears anyone know how to fix this?
