got a aftermarket exhaust to day whats the best way to fit can i get ride of the silencer center pipe for a aftermarket one or link pipeas old pipe bit crap looking to fitsomthing from cat to my new back box or could i use a flexi pipe on end of center pipe to the back box its a mk1 1997 1.6i

well in english turms i HAVE A SAXO 1.6I 1997 SX AND JUST GOT A NEW AFTERMARKET BACKBOX BUT HAVE A PROBLEM THAT IT DUZ NOT MATCH WITH THE CENTER PIPE FROM THE CAT COS OF THE RUST ON IT COULD I CUT BIT OFF IT AND USE EXHAUST PUTTY AND A FLEXI PIPE TO JOIN THEM UP ANY HELP PLZ AND THE CHEEK OF ONE NEWBIE SLAGING ME OFF JEEZ GET A LIFE AND HELP IF U CAN AS NO USE IN MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE AS LITTLE PEOPLE LIKE U UPSET ALOT OF PEOPLE

a flexi pipe wont work but if you go to a local motor factors they may have some sleeves that you can fit if you know what i mean pm me if your not sure mate

Caps lock isnt really going to help solve it but anyway... Flexi pipe is a silly idea, it would be bending constantly, it needs to ridged, so clamped or welded.

LOL CHEEKY well what is flexi pipe for then iv build a kit care and used it and it was fine

just get a piece of tube swelled and slotted either end then clamp it mate

so i could exhaust putty it then clamp it also iv heard u can put 2 slits in the tube then clamp it

yes you can use exhaust paste as long as its after the cat and slotted means you can cut slits in it lol you need it about 2 or 3 mm larger than the tube your putting it onto they are called extension pipes in my trade
