Who are we: Rock Your Phone, Inc.
What do we do: Run an independent iPhone App Store
Why are you petitioning: We are asking the FCC to investigate and take action against Apple. Apple continues to make it more and more difficult for consumers to use an independent marketplace.

I lol'd.

Why, lol?

They are just winging because they run their own independent app store and non jailbroken iphones can only use the official one.

They're trying to get it official.
As in, you don't need to jailbreak to run third party apps.

Why should Apple? You buy the phone knowing this, you should live with it.

But it wouldnt be to run 3rd party apps would it? Everyone would then pirate everything for the iPhone hence Apple losing money. I cant see them doing it!

But, I signed it anyway :)

its exactly the same as a chipped games console with copied games, or file sharing copyrighted music/movies. its illegal and you cant do it with other phones so why should apple let you do it with the i phone.

and because Apple can control whats on their store it effectively stops mobile viruses.
The last one only effected jb iphones iirc.

There is no viruses for iPhones, much like Mac OSX, You will only get the virus by installing it yourself, or what was quite common, people with jailbroken phones running SSH would leave it on and get hacked that way.

So your saying if your pc would only let you install apps that were signed by the company that you wouldn't be annoyed?

I didn't buy my iPhone knowing that It'd be locked - I bought my iPhone knowing I was going to jailbrake it.

If my PC was locked then I would look elsewhere.
Could always get a phone that has Windows Mobile or droid.
