Anyone got any links to what is done on a service?
And is it like an mot where they will tell you what you need done or do you pay for the service and thats it?
Cheers

as far as i no a service (depending on if its a major service/mileage etc) includes renewing/replacing of all the serviceable parts etc. and you to be told about any defects found visually anywhere which will not neccesarilly be included in the mot but just any minor/major problems found, such as brake wear, bushes, gaitors split, exhaust leak, if somethings not working etc. things you should be told about basically.
although some places wont even inspect the car tbh and just send you on your way after changing the servicable parts.
depending on what the service interval the cars at, the usual jobs are - oil change, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, coolant change, pollen filter, and every so often i think brake pads and fluid is changed
