I havent been watching it, but I can take a fair guess by the title.

In the past my ex-stepdad hit a couple of pheasents at low speed over the years, and to be fair they didnt taste bad at all for roadkill!

Nope being a saturday lad butcher when I was younger means I'm used to it. Makes me laugh when people think sausages suddenly appear on the plate and don't think of the slaughter process.

Tbh i would love to rear my own animals, ie chickens, from the egg to putting them on the table. in my eyes if you only set out with the sole purpose of eating them then its no different to growing your own fruit and veg, just a hole load more work

Fair comment mate, but in my eyes they have been bred to eat. I would have no problem personally killing them, butchering them, cooking them. Just the way I have been brought up.

Id have no problems eitehr as long as I knew they did not get emotions,feelings etc etc which they do!

I have to agree eating meat is really a disturbing thing when you think about it. To me keeping a animal as a pet or for milk or the like is possibly even more so. How would you feel about being locked up in a cage about the same size as your room day in day out. Or stuck in a little bowl of water. Or just to be another persons slave. I think many of use would rather be dead than do that. But then the world is a disturbing place in general I guess.

LOL, i knew someone would start the "aww poor things have feelings too" you don't think that when you pull spuds out of the ground or chop your lettuce leaves! even though it's been proven that plants react to pain etc too...

At the end of the day ladies and gent WE are at the top of the food chain because we adapted via EVOLUTION from vegetarian and carnivores to be the omnivores we are now. Why do veggies want to reverse evolution... there REALLY isn't a better way otherwise we'd be doing it!

I know that these animals are dying to feed us and it annoys me that some places get away with treating the animals like shit and unfortunately when them animals are killed, the meat they produce is also shit, so there lives are wasted. At least the animals shown in that program were treated really well and i don't care what you say. The animals don't know they are going to die. Not a chance or they would be heading straight for the door and some slaughter man isn't going to stop them!

mmmm tasty meat, better than just veg in my opinion.

I have often thought this. With hunting and even fishing the animal had lived free and at the very least had a fighting change of living.

funny really when you are not involved with the animals i/e buying a kebab or eating out in a restarant you don't consider or think about the animals life !
we kept 3 sheep they shit all over the place for 3 months when they went to the butcher and came back in the freezer I did not eat any of it as I remember them running around ! infact they used to come up to me when I came home!
however I have eaten loads before and since but with no connection to the animal's you don't mind eating them !

I am guessing fishing, hunting or road kill. Its odd as within a generation all were once common place but now not so. I always thought if you can't morally bring your self to kill and eat it you should not be eating meat.
