its all about bebo when your still in high school, then myspace took over for a couple of years in like 2007, now facebook rules all.

Twitter's only shit if you don't know what you're doing on it. ;)

Most people make the mistake of joining. Posting a few "Having breakfast" / "Going to the gym" / "{generic daily task}" tweets which add no value, and noone will respond to.
If you engage with people, reply, put out tweets that will trigger a response, you'll get the hang of Twitter.

As said above, Twitter is good if you know what you're doing/using it properly
