View Full Version : Old skool cool

Just thought I'd put something up for people to put their favorite old skool motors.

Here's one of mine. It's a KPGC10 GT-R and this car is one of the cars I am going to own before I die. I'd happily take one of these over any other Skyline GT-R.

Lotus Cortina for me:

http://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/1966_Lotus_Cortina_Mk1_Rear_1.jpg

Or a bag of skitles in the post to anyone that can tell me the make and model of this:

http://cordinsa.visible.co.za/Portals/0/LiveContent/382/Images/RayCord85.jpg

I've had a passion for these since I had a book of classic cars when I was about 8 years old lol

My all time fave old school classic has to be this though:

Certainly was indeed. 1600 lotus twin cam engine.
But Calum has recently sold it to start his next project.

it was also featured in the mag earlier in '09 as a pair of readers builds with Liam's MK1 Cortina Zetec Turbo which was insane but just been put up for sale aswell.

Me and a pal have gone halves on one of these. Few weeks back we stripped it, fitted a cage, some bucket seats and a set of coilovers. So far we've only messed about on the estate at night with it, but I reckon it'll see some track action soon.

I'll see if I can find any pics of it.....

You do know how notoriously hard it is to drift an AE86 if that's what you're thinking of doing with it.

Bmw 2002, yes. Any old school BMW's are good, M535i yes please.

How much are those Skyline GT-R's going for Tommo, I couldn't find any for sale but if you know it would be greatly appreciated, they definitely are one of the coolest cars I've seen a picture of...

I was lucky enough to take this for a spin with the owner. Really nice car and it was a lovely example.

Another old skool cool motor has to be the lancia delta. Here's the day I got mine...

And this one is an absolute beauty. This thing owes then owner about £120k!!! He spend all that time and money creating one of the best e-types alive, then pussied out at the last minute when we took it to elvington! He just couldn't bring himself to abuse it. What a lightweight lol

They are a bit tricky but with hours of pissing around on the estate, we're like pros now lol.... or at least we think we are. To be fair we both got to grips with it fairly quick.

Here's an old photo with my ex boss' 6R4. He sold is many years ago, for a pittance on what it's worth now. If you even mention it his face drops lol.

Both me and my dad love Anglia's but those arches look far too odd. The front's don't match the back :S

Rear's look to be what were commonly known as Cologne arches but the front look almost Nova-ish :S

Still beasty with a Cossie lump though.

yh from what i remeber it was rear wheel drive so to get it like that we had to widen the back arches , http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll13/105ecossie/ANGLIA040.jpg
