Was browsing on pistonheads and found my old car, curious as to what has changed on it. Spoke to the owner, full of lies.

i mate it is .. yes all the mods whr done by engine room have loads of receipts for the engine/bodywork
the car is a k reg mate. im in motherwell mate a wee town not far from glasgow in scotland ..
if ud like too know anymore text or call lewis on ***** n try be quick mate thrs a few people at me for it .....

Sounds proper sorted mate. Where in Scotland are you located?
Also was the engine and mods done by yourself? If so do you have receipts for the work?
Lastly whats the reg of the car bud.

alright thr mate yes i could tell u more its a 106 gti engine its init from a 03 106 gti with 30k whn came out.. with 2 road kentcams standalone ECU all did by the ENGINE ROOM . B & M sort shifter
plus B &M stainlessteel gearlinkege 4 into 1 supersprint mani the rest .too back box pugsport/scoripoin
polybushed frnt and rear OMP under strutbrace GIT brakes fnt anf rear .rear disc conv all gas spax coilover kit .
new refurbd citroen speedlines new bk pads new 106 frunt seats wish bones the engine now has did 41 k the shells did 89 but got servicehistory for all thy miles
has about 3 mouths MOT 2 M tax would easy pass an mot the underside of the car is soild just all been shoots/stonechiped.
mate the lowest id go is 1600 poun.............easy..........
edit out the email address and the number he sent, although it is on his pistonhead ad but thought it best to remove.

Lies I can tell from what he told me or in the adds:
-Engine is not a 106 gti engine it's a 206 xsi engine
-106 gti engines are not 150 bhp standard
-B&M shifters are not adjustable
-Engine conversion was not done by him
-I can imagine hte standalone ecu and cams are lies as well tbh
Don't get me wrong, it was a sweet car when I sold it, but if a seller lies about things like the engine, who did it and what it is, I would be wary of believing anything he says. And how he looks after things looking at the wheels on it and hte nice induction kit. . .
Just incase anyone saw it on pistonheads and was interested :)
