Just did mine, run round it with a hosepipe (on our stone pebbled driveway :D) then wash quickly then run round with a drying cloth. After that, take a panel at a time to polish/clay.

Repeat 2 days later when the things covered in dirt again :wall:

I haven't washed the car in weeks. Too much snow to even start. If your car has plenty protection on the paint work the car will be fine.. Really depressing looking at a dirty car all the time though.

oh dear daz_zz_er lol, I'm sure it will be ok, just get out there, middle of day best I suppose, and wash the crap off it, and give it a dead quick wash with warm water, rinse off and dry, shouldn't freeze if you're quick :)

Don't bother waxing it though, it's needs to be warmer for that :(

I have washed mine 3 times in as many weeks lol, I hate my car being dirty, and don't want the salt hurting it either, although I waxed all throughout the summer, getting waxing when it's warmer matey :y:

Auds - you are talking complete shit. If you are going to clean your car in this weather, sealing the paintwork is mandatory.

i gave mine about 4 coats of nattys paste wax before xmas hopefully this will see me through most of jan it already had wax on it also. now when i wash it i dont have to dry it just a quick wipe and its sorted. washed the car about 4 times quickly since xmas. first wash i just put the hose on it and becasue all the wax and dodo red mist it just got the worst of the dirt off.

mine hadnt bee washed since last october till yesterday..

and it hadnt got any dirtier :P mainly cos its been off the road sat in my nice dry warm workshop :D

still wash the gf's clio 172 every 3 days and wax it every weekend no matter what. It gets filthy the moment you take it out but i prefer to stay on top of it.

Unless it is sputtered with mud after waxing then driving, i don't see why you need to wash it. wait a few days. you oughtta wash it before waxing next time.

This weather I just keep the lights windscreens & number plates clean as its an offence to drive with them really dirty, same as it is not to have washer fluid in your bottle.

i washed mine at about 4pm it was lovely and sunny by the time i had finished waxing it was 5:30, cold and dark. The part of the roof where i hadn't yet buffed it out was starting to freeze over, devostating.

that required some elbow grease haha
