if only someone clever would invent a site where you could put in your personal details and the car you want to insure, then it went off to all the other insurance companies and listed their prices in order

Ha Ha, indeed ;)

but £2400 a year to insure a car TPFT when there are alot better options out there.

id bet money that in 5 years time he would say that he wont ever do that again, and/or regrets paying that!

Depends on a lot of things mate. Your post code can influence on a high premium. I live in a small town so my post code is good, my car is kept on a driveway and its fitted with an alarm system. Also, I got my quote 6 months ago and insurance prices go up everyday.

yes, dont opt for a sporty model that attracts high premiums until you have built up a few years no claims, it saves you money now, and eventually saves you even more money at a later date!

you all mus be doing something wrong... i was 18 and with a vts for £1600 full comp no no claims or anything.. then turned 19 and changed over onto a fiesta st for £1.1k full comp then sold it and got a civic type r for £1.6k full comp in total... iv just turned 20 aswell

paying it in one lump sum does work out a hell lot cheaper by a few hundered though.

Im on quinn man! Got my vtr when i was 17 n paying £2000 on insurance :y:

Now that sounds like alot but my budget wasnt high (£3200) n i could of got a more modern car but with a smaller engine like all my friends. However i felt that ill spend less on the car n pay more on insurance just to have a bigger engine :D

Trust me mate its worth it... all my friends slated my sax when i got it (their all rich with 09 plate yaris's, puntos, polos, 500's etc) but as soon as you take them for a drive (not driving like a dick of course) they change their mind! :D

+1 to all of that:y:

I got my vtr at 17 paid 2k insurance. Only thing I would maybe change if I did it again would be get a 1.4 maybe as I got used to the power and wanted more, so if I keep going at this rate fuk no's what I'll have by 25 lol

quin direct are good as u are covered third party on any vehicle minus quads ikes converibles commercial vehicles etc but they are shit for paying out and getting in touch with wen u crash, and u will most prob get a producer everytime u get pulled as only new traffic enforcment vehicles have the system to track international insurance as quinn are based in ireland, bell are by far the cheapest i found but no two quotes are the same because of wer u live job etc , 200 a month is really good for a first car i ad a corsa gsi as my first car and mine was nearly 300 a month but was fully comp, the best thing i can recommend is to put your gf/sister on you insurance as ive found some insurers drop your premium.try looking into a traders policy as im on one now and it will cover me in any car performance or modified even porches ferraris etc and cars with up 20k in mods and i pay 780pound, ther are alot of options, just be as honest as you can with modifications etc as in the long run your insurance will be cheaper wen u upgrade to something with a little more poke, hope my experiences have helped
