need to know whare i stand realy.
my gaffer at work is such a nob.
right, just before christmas i had a verbal warning for lateness. went back to work last week and had FINAL written warning for having a day off because the weather was too bad and i felt it was too dangerous to get to work.
Today he suspended me for going to the cafe 7mins before my break had started. i had to set out abit early because of the roads.
but this is my problem.
his brother also works there. on numorous occasions he has offered people out, pushed people, threw his dummy out basicly and nothing gets said.
today he threw a cup of tea over my mates job because he said someone had messed around with his drink. what if it had gone on my mate. it would have burnt him.
but still nothing said to him. the gaffer said he only done it because some1 was playing a prank on him and he reacted.
i feel as tho he is trying to get rid of me for some reason but look after his brother.
everyone at work would agree with me.
where do i stand and what can be done about it
sorry about the essay i just wanted to make the story as clear as possible

its all about the evidence mate, as long as your mate will be willing to sign a statement that back up what youre writing about it should stand up. the only problem is that these things can take a long time to sort out so whether or not youre willing to slug it out is another matter that you need to think about.

im having the same problem but my advice what im doing is taking them to court as its free and if you win you get compo, you have to gather every bit of evidance you can and its good if you have people willing to testifie for you! hope you get it sorted matey

Gotta stand up to him mate, tell him he can't speak to you like a piece of shit, or walk, don't do any overtime, stay late etc, that's doing him favours, don't do days you don't have to, fine line between belligerence, and standing up to him
:y:
Good luck matey.

thats the thing...
if i dont work over when im asked to i get "well ive gave enough notice i can disipline you for not working over"
he says "its a customer requirement"
but everyday i get given shit and ive just about had enough of it.
theres blokes there who just assemble the job 8-9 pound an hour.
i can cut the job, weld the job, powder coat the job and assemble the job 6.30 an hour.
also i work the waterjet cutter.
theres only 2 people in the factory who can work it.
the other guys on £10 an hour.
hows that work?
the less u know the more ur payed????

In that case mate just walk in there tomorrow and punch him as hard as you possibly can in the face lol !
When i was at my factory pal, They had me on ITP ( car part tube measurements ) and CNC machine change overs... pretty complicated jobs Both of them.... A guy called Martin who was already on the job was gettin payed near enough £400 a week.... What did they give me for doing it ? .. Fuck all.. Not even a permanent Job.. they tried keeping me as a temp paying me 6.00 and hour, untill i basically told them Bollocks im not having it ... Stand up for yourself pal. Theres other jobs out there.. dont let dickheads try and mug you. Lifes too short to let some mug wth his cock up his bro's anal passage take the piss !

Search for another job now, and when you get one, screw him over, and if it's his company screw that over.

have you thought about going to citizens advice or courts? you've got a lot more chance of getting it sorted out in your favour if you have some official backing. unfortunately your boss sounds like the kind of person who'd simply find an easy excuse for anything you throw at him - we've all met pricks like that! Good luck with it mate

i had a similar experience at my first job. i got 2 verbal warnings and a written warning in the same week for the same thing after being told id have time to inprove. 1 warning was the dar after another one! it was obvious they wanted me out- they advertised my job a week before it all started! i was young and stupid so i didnt argue but if i was treated like that now id rip the company apart (legally speaking). just remember, evidence is your friend.

Best advice IMO. If you really cant hack it and it's full on bullying and not just hard banter, find another job (easier said than done, I know) and just walk.

i've got this at work also, some simple little twat acting up because he has nothing better to do. just think about your options before you make your move (i.e. probably best not to whack him if you dont have another job lined up lol)

theres a saying. Revenge is a dish best served cold. Take heed of those words, calm down and dont do anything stupid. Why do this when actually it may have just got you a better job...
