Uni choices!

right now i thought i would ask you lot
studying ICT
thinking of going to uni in either leeds or hull

anyone on here been to either of these?

i live in leeds so going to this uni would mean staying at home but hull moving away which would you suggest?

ive been to leeds, looks quite a good uni tbf, good town centre aswell, just the major off put is where the students live. the whole area is so grim and depressing , just rows and rows of thousands of old brown run down houses lol

leeds is meant to be nice

but manchester ftw!

everyone i know at nottingham loves the uni but says nott's is a crap hole, same as the birmingham uni's

i'd have loved to have gone to a london uni, but cant warrent the cash

brighton is also very nice, as is sheffield / sheff hallam

ye brighton has a really good social side to it, accomodation right next to the sea front and millions of clubs/bars nearby

friend of mine is at hull uni says its a amazing uni, another friend of mine is going to leeds... his sister is also at leeds and she enjoys it...

most unis are ok i think :)

if im being honest, move away from home, the life is amazing, i went to uni in september, but unfortuantly i have returned home today for good due to not enjoying my course. But i strongly advise living away otherwise you wont experience the true uni, and believe me you need to! :)

University of the west of england!! in the 3rd year and have loved it all! Bristol has good nightlife too. worth a look boyo.

Living at home is cheaper / moving away is much more fun!

Newcastle. Amazing night life, great city, good Uni.

Or if your wanting something a bit closer to home, what about York? Ranked 11th Best uni in UK.

Out of Leeds/Hull personally I would go for Leeds just because its a bigger city, and has 2 uni's = better night life.

I'd definately consider living away though, so many people say its the best experience of their lives.

I'm re-applying to go to Chester, didn't like living in a city, and don't drink so hated Uni. and hated my course at Preston (UCLAN). Was doing Computer Games Development.


Now applying to do Natural Hazard Management With Geography Combined course.

thanks all i think i am going to leeds and am just gonna try move out but get a flat in a nicer area than all around the unis as it is crap but i love the nightlife here its great so thats wahts pushing me to stay in leeds! seems like its the place to go! plus thats the better course

Hull I've heard isn't a great city at all, so staying in Leeds is your best bet.
