We see a lot of cases at work where people do these and it comes back clear but the car has finance øn it.
Certain log book type companies are very lax on how quick they update records.
Do one at first but do a full one prior to handing the cash over

Text checks a complete waste of time imho; dont show up half the info you need, ie whether Log Book Loans have secured a ruddy great big loan against it ...
