im asking for a freind who is keen on buying a saxo 1.1 but what he wants to know is the differant types (forte,desire etc) and the differances between them ? if you could please explain that would be great :P

Go for a colour coded one =] they look mucho better in my opinion. I think and this is only a think the desires are the colour coded ones but I am more then likely wrong.

desire's have more comforts, forte's are completely and utterly basic.
Fortes DON'T have power steering, whereas I believe Desire's do.
I had a forte as my first car though, loved it.

I have a forte, it is basic admittedly but its great fun. Mine has colour coded bumpers, but is a mk2 so i dont know if that makes any difference. I love it lol so highly recommended, especially if hes young and insurance is sk high like mine lol

Yours was colour coded? Mine wasn't.
No it isn't the bumpers that's colour coded, it's the side strips.
Only 1.0' have black bumpers.

Yepp go for a desire if you can. Colour coding, power steering, remote central locking, all good :)

my forte is kinda colour coded bumpers, i mean the whole bumper isnt green theres just a bit thats black and the side strips are black

ive got a forte love it:y: But i have done a fair bit to it(interior and exterior) as the interior is hidous(Multi coloured)which is ther worst part oh and it doesnt have power steering but apart from that its ace.But imo, its upto you:y: if you look after the car itll look after you:y:

lol i hate the multicoloured stuff haha especially the seatbelts, i only like the blue seatbelt on mine haha

ive got the 1.1SX has sunroof, elec windows, power steering and central locking.... it is a 5dr mk 2 though... some people prefer 3drs.

I'm looking at buying one soon aswell. I have my eyes on a gold 1.1 desire. Didn't like it at all at 1st but it has really taken my fancy (don't ask why) :L

Ive got a 1.1 forte, i drove a 1.2 fiesta with 25k on the clock for a few months and my saxo with 75k seems to be a lot quicker :)

I have a 1.1 SX mk1, only thing i don't like is no powerstearing :n: does feel like i'm driving a go-kart though :fcuk:

my 1.1 106 was group3
groups dont mean everything though. so many factors come into play with insurance
