My dad is currently looking for a new car, has to be:
50,000 miles or under
preferably 05 onwards
150bhp+
5 door
Anything upto £7000
Can't seem to find anything good. Was going to just suggest a 05 golf GTI and tune that but i just wondered if anyone on here had any suggestions, everything i look at has over 100k on them and are knackered :n:

Newer cars seem to rack miles up for some reason. My 17yr old Civic had 100k on it yet my 8yr old Accord has 80k.

Same, he has a car for about 4-5 years then gets another. Really looking into golfs, but the R32s are just so expensive to buy, even second hand.

well it depends if he wouldnt mind a really good older car like the s type and the clk 320 or a newer bottom of the range car like a normal golf.....

3.0 S type jag looks like a good option, lots of high milage and Auto's but some bargains i can see. And 3.0 V6 240bhp sounds tasty.

Was looking at the 1.8T - 150bhp iirc?
Get one for £5k, then spend £2k on it?
Cams, remap, induction, exhuast, tints, lowered, BBS alloys and some other subtle touches maybe.
I don't know, i will tell him the suggestions in the morning lol

Golfs can look amazing! I'm not sure on the tuning potential, that's something you'd have to look Into.
What about Jap Cars?

A decent set of bbs rims will take up most of if not all that budget, look fit though.

Leon FR? That's what I got my dad to look at, and get, lol.
5 doors, 150bhp standard (and it's a 1.9tdi, so easily (and safely) remapped for more power), economical, can get a decentish model for £7k, and the mileage shouldn't be too much of a worry with it being a VAG diesel.

Audi A4, A8, TT
Jag's that are 2001-2002 year up here are worth about 2-3k
Theres the Hyundai Coupe
Celica VVT-i
Agh, theres plenty to choose from, even Lexus IS200-300's are looking great!
id rather have one of them abouve over a saxo, it makes you look like you got money - even if you dont ;)
