get a old mk1 106 or shitoen ax and vts that?
good project i always wanted to do was a mk4 escort bonus and rs turbo it.
would take a couple of years, then will be old enough to insure it reasonably(ish).

it depends on how much you want to be spending on insurence, at 17, if you can afford £200+ a month on a vts then fair enough

At 17, id get something like a Furio tbh ... you can make it look nice, sort the handling out, stick an LSD, box box everything in it so its setup up perfectly, then at 19/20 bung a vts lump in it.
Would be a nice project & proper a weapon :y:

Definatley a saxo due to the reason why theyre so popular, as parts are cheap to modify them etccc
