My girlfriends going to buy me some 6x9 speakers this weekend, but I had a change of mind and need some advice and/or even some help with the choice.

The Situation is;

I could buy these: 6x9 JBL Speaker/Amp Pack (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3167.html) for £109.99!

or I could get 2 sets of these: door speakers (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3042.html) for £89.98!

They maybe not be the size I Need, so If anyone knows the default size for Saxo 4x Speakers dont be shy to tell?

The help I need is; would the 6x9's be the best option, or for the least hassle get the set of door speakers??

Thankyou in advance.

according to what iv read your better getting some really good front speakers, 170mm if you can and getting them build into the door, but iv only got 130mm and i think mine arent to bad at all, really impressed. there infinity and cost me about 65 quid!

once you have them in, a sub would be next, as from what iv heard 6x9's are rubbish, even though, yet again i have some and think there "okay" but my sub is just okay so they complememt each other smileys/smiley2.gif lol

then amp your front components up and you should have a good system!

do you have a sub at all or are you considerings one

because you dont want 6x9 if your getting a sub

if you are getting or have got a sub, id get a set of quality components and amp them smileys/smiley2.gif

as Jay says 13cm are standard speakers, get some good front comp IMO and an amp to power them.

I've looked into it, and the front speakers are 5.25inch and the back 2 are 4inch - So I was thinking of getting a Vibe set for both, and then like people have suggested amp them up at a later date.

What do you reckon, good or bad idea?

And cheers for the helps so far lads, much appreciated!

Oh and as an example, do I need These, "COMPONENT" Speakers (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/subcategories/c_path/60_61/spd/components.html) or can I just replace the ones in my saxo with a pair of 5 and 4 inch Coaxial Speakers (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/subcategories/c_path/60_66/spd/coaxial-speakers.html)?

Cheers for the help.

Well, my girlfriend bought me a set of 5.25inch and 4inch speakers from halfolds for my car - I would imagine I could of got them cheaper on the internet. But as It was an anniversary present, she wanted to buy them with me.

And a Week on tuesday shes going to buy me a 150£ iPod compatable headunit to use with the 30GB Video iPod she bought me for xmas.

So all in all, its been a good week. smileys/happy.gif

Cheers for the help ladies. smileys/smiley16.gif
