Ok i put this question in my progress thread but no answers..

Bought this :-

Bought it for 400 and the wiring loom is gone so it wont start.

my mate is an auto spark who said he could do it but people have been talking me out of it saying that there is so much other stuff that can go with it nd it wudnt b worth it.

Anyone got any opinions on what i should do?

Mk 1 's are starting to dissapear theirs not many round my way, i would get your mate to sort it out for free or discount or for a mccyD's the you have a working car for £400

Ai i do really love the car and dont want to strip it, and he said he will do most the work for free so shouldnt be too bad.

Get it done then man !

While your waiting for him to do it just tidy it up a little, clean it look over it etc get it in tip top condition.

The only problem is he is getting on like a bit of a cock at the minuite, he does other stupid things in priority to helping me like fixing someones rear window wiper for one of his granda's mates instead of helping me lol

Beat me to it!

They are pretty easy to do once you lay them out (labelled, of course)

mate they are really easy to do, get your alternater wire next to the drivers side and the fuse box plugs odd shape and green yellow brown etc at the passenger side in the middele you should see a green plug lay on your back with the loom on your chest reach up behind your manifold with the green plug an plug it in your injector loomget from underneath and pull the right hand side of the loom onto your gearbox and bring your alternator wire down the other side, and u will notice all the plugs are either colour matched or will only fit in its rightfull place, jobs a good one, just be sure ALL earths are attatched, job done
