I'm looking for a new car to get be to work and back, i do about 90miles a day, 40 there and 40 back plus a little bit during the day lunch etc. and im finding the saxo a little too uncomfy for this journey each day.

I'm only 18 and i live in a high risk insurance area (hence the furio), I'm looking for a tdi ideally for better mpg gettin about 39mpg from the furio.

I would settle for something that is better built and comfier than the saxo, may keep the saxo if i can afford both cars cause i do like it but not to travel on the motorways....... :panic:

2004 Seat Ibiza 1.9TDI. Your looking at around 69mpg and insurance group 6!

For example: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/200949347728549/sort/priceasc/usedcars/make/seat/model/ibiza/fuel-type/diesel/engine-size-cars/1-7l_to_1-9l/maximum-age/up_to_10_years_old/price-to/3000/postcode/ts79hp/page/1/radius/1500?previous=%2Fsearch%2Fresults%2Fusedcars%2Fpos tcode%2Fts79hp%2Fradius%2F1500%2Fmake%2Fseat%2Fmod el%2Fibiza%2Ffuel-type%2Fdiesel%2Fengine-size-cars%2F1-7l_to_1-9l%2Fmaximum-age%2Fup_to_10_years_old%2Fprice-to%2F3000%2Fsort%2Fpriceasc%2Fpage%2F1&logcode=p#techSpecSummaryContent

I just done a few quotes on the GtTDI and the cheapest was £3400 :panic: gonna look into the ibiza side of things but i only like the FR range ones and they got one hell of an ugly arse!! i prefer the leons ;)

Yeah as im lookin into it more and more i may just stick with the saxo atm but im only a named driver atm so i dont get ncb :( may wait till im 19, in october and look into it then

Cheers for the ideas though guys my eyes are more open now :)

Mk4 GOLF!!!!

My GT does 50-60 all day long and is on 159k still going strong :)

200k isn't uncommon for them.

but being VAG you'll pay a premium on insurance :/
