View Full Version : My first time claying major cleaning session with loads of pictures

right today was a pretty cold shitty day so though lets detail the motor got up at 7 and finished it at 3.30, i cleaned the car pretty well on saturday so i meant that i could really do it well this time

First step washing with mitt with two bucket method using Megs gold class, done this twice.

Wheels used autoglym fast wheels and tyres shine

then clayed it with megs clay bar kit

re washed using two bucket method and then dried with megs drying towel.

On the bumpers used auto glym bumper car and fast glass on the windows.

i really didnt think my car was that dirty until i clayed it looks fantastic and so smooth...:y:

yes i did wax it forgot to metion that above.. not going to spend hours claying it and forget the wax it lol

lol was about to say would have been a complete waste of time nearly lol looks in great condition anyway mate good work for a first detail. im duying for a full day of sun tried doing mine sunday was lovely weather when i started got the wax on ready to buff of and what happens the fucking heavens open and ruin it all for me.

no polished it saturday... only polish it every 3 months

i polished mine about a month or two ago and it took me stupid amounts of time. like 5 hours and more for doign everything :/ but it does look fit, Do you quick detail yours if it gets dirty in a few weeks?

Looks very nice mate. Only thing I'd change there is source some chrome orange indicator bulbs it transforms the look of your car.

Gets rid of that orange look.

It's come out nicely

however, it makes me wonder what your definition of "not caring what my car looks like, because it's a track car, not a show car" is.

i want to use it on the track. and yeah my car is covered in dents and that... but i still like a very clean car....
