new member here just saying hi

name is iain and ive just bought myself a 2001 plate saxo VTR in black

mods are

lowered, debadged grille, drilled and grooved disks, pipercross viper induction, full janspeed stainless and some crap smoked lexus lights on the rear lol

cars not mint, the last owner went off -road in it and she damaged the drivers door the to front wings, poped a balljoint and small dent on underside nothing major tho

it was sitting at a guys house for last year and since then sum1s robbed me altenator and the wiper motor lol

plan is to still the bad bits off and see what im left with, sill is fine also but ill need a sideskirt im sure too prob buy two new front wings as everyone i ask that is breaking black saxos has sold it nightmare

me and a mate are chipping in to rent out a garage for doing the work to the saxo,

plus he has also got a black saxo but his is a VTS

ill get pictures of everything i am doing to the car in good time ( maybe be asking allot of questions in between lol )

.....and i was going to say it was also missing the steering wheel so i had a spare mountney wheels here and have just bought a boss kit for it that should land in few days

dont even know if the car runs or anything yet lol should do tho

got my door and wings etc just need a passanger driveshaft and an alternator with brackets ect and ill be able to get it runing

needing another few bits too, scaning egay the past few months and most things are just overpriced or not what i need

got the carpets stripped out the underlay out to dry,

got the front corners stripped of struts w-bones anti-roll bar links and brake pipes

track rod ends are now new and wishbones plus a-r-links are on way , the two front wheel tubs have been wire wheeled and hammeriteed black so there looking mint now

aach slow progress is better than no progress :p

well bit of a progress update

ive cleaned and painted both front inner archs

fitted new wishbones, new roll links, braided brake hoses and waiting on mintex brakes all round to arrive to me next week

also both front wings fitted with arches and looking great

got an altenator so i started the car for the first time last week

delighted fired up second turn of the crank

didnt sound great as it had no manifold on it lol

ive got a raceland 4-2-1 (i think) s/s manifold but it wont fit on due to the oil filter, but ive now heard of a mod that will let me fit this?

just need a load of small bits now

steering wheel bolt
(cheap) standard dark tint rear lights , not the lighter ones
rear arch driver side in black plus the sideskirt same side

one g-max front shock lol

ecu cover,wiper motor, plastics round wiper motor

then a cam with vernier lol

ill start a progress thread and ill post up some pictures now that its looking good

god few good ones of it sitting in the garage next to my mates black VTS mk2
