Any one get this confused

i have a saxo forte 1.1i i am a student and am 17 this is my first car i am on my mums insurance its £1500 tpft and with alloys and spoiler dosent change so have included these and next year still on mums insurance its £1400 this is with no crashes claims or points and for a 1.4 westcoast its £1800 and for a 1.6 VTR ITS £1450 WHY IS A VTR CHEAPER THAN A 1.4 WESTCOAST AND ONLY £50 MORE THAN MY 1.1 FORTE HELP IDEAS PLZ

It's because those furio badges have 150bhp each.. duh I beatz dem veyrons and ferraris!

Insurance companies work on amounts of crashes in your area/crashes in age groups and crashes in car types.

If there have been 1000 crashes in a micra by 17 year olds in your area then the excess will be through the roof. However, if a 17 year old has never crashed a vtr in your area then it will be cheap as chips.

(Dramatic example but gets the point across)

So yeah as people have said, more furios must have crashed and people claimed than Vtrs :)

The younger kids go for the Furio's as they've got a smaller engine so ''cheaper to insure''...apparently, with VTR looks.

Sadly they're more likely to crash than a more experienced driver, so thats why the insurance is more on them. In a nutshell.
