Just for sh1ts and giggles opinions wanted.

Ok i have a 106 rallye engie kicking about the shed (1.6 s2) and have the chance to buy a 1.1i old 106 for the pricey sum of £175 with nearly 12months MOT and a few months tax..

My question is would it be possible without too much hassle to pop the rallye engine in a 1.1? and would an unlocked VTR ecu run the rallye engine?

It would just be an arse about car really just to pass the time.

The the ecu wouldn't run it, they have a different air intake manifold to start with. The VTR ecu is set up for a certain in take of air.

As above? I thought if you can put a 1.3 rallye manifold on a VTR then surely a VTR can run the manifold?

Have you not wandered why all those sensors are there in your engine bay, to moniter air (aswell as other stuff) and adjust the fuel accordingly.

Came from a crashed s2 i found in my local scrappers, i also had the reclining bucket seats with subframes (corbeau targa's) for 45 quid and the sparco strut brace for free :D

Just thought it would be an arse around to help pass the spring blues :D
