Hiya,

Would you like me to check and see if you have your forum discount in the quote you was given?
If so PM me your surname, postcode and a contact telephone number.

Thanks
Dan

AF are pretty good with mods, Think it's only engine performance that would increase premium.
When I queried about a cage they said there will be no increase just let us know when it's done :)

Yeah they done me a good deal on my last VTS when I got it lowered, can't remember the exact price now though.

Without sounding like I'm slating them, my insurance has gone up from £350 on a modified VTS to £518 on a standard VTR this year with Brentacre. Not happy

in my honest opinion the cheapest is never the best option, after being with them for the past 12 months not a problem cos all was well with my car so never need to get intouch with anyone, until about 3weeks back now i have finally realised why they give such cheap quotes to people.
I recently had my car written of, not being my fault as i wasnt in the car at the time, but the problem with adrian flux is the customer service is dreadfull, constantly on hold being passed from one member to another having to continuelly answer the ID questions and referance numbers, they members of adrian flux either have no clue or/and cant be arsed dealing with claims, so they just pass you around from member to member as though until you get that frustrated they hang up on you.
Adrian flux being a broker not an insurance company tell you they have nothin to do with your claim and say you need to get intouch with your insurance, then when you get intouch with your insurance they pass you back to adrian flux to say they are meant to deal with it.
Evetually i got that pissed off i just rang the driver in fault and phoned his insurance direct they sorted it out within days, but this was after the likes of 3weeks wait after adrian flux sayin they would ring me and keep me up to date with the claim, but never a phone call.

So now i realised you get what you pay for imo and would never recommend a family member or friend to go anywhere near adrian flux. Pathetic use of an insurance company! Happy to take take take all day long but when they have to pull there finger out and actually do something they dont want to do it!

Surely that doesnt make sense?

Lower insurance group, no mods yet higher quote?

Did they give you a reason?

I am sorry to hear of your inconvenience and can assure you that your comments have been forwarded to our Claims Manager.

As previously indicated, it is the insurance company that is responsible for the major decision-making on claims. As a broker we aim to assist where possible, but there are times when only the insurance company can deal with an issue.

Please accept my apologies for any unnecessary inconveniences or difficulties.

Dan

I'm with adrian flux at the moment and i have found there customer service is awful too, sometimes there great other times its a joke. The one good thing i must say is that they don't run a mile when you start telling them about mods and for that reason i can just about put up with them but if the price in april doesn't halve i'll be on the phone to greenlight, chris knott etc.

Thats what you get for going with a broker instead of going through a proper insurance company directly, i was made to pay £115 left on my insurance which i didnt think i had to tbh, as with my car being written off which wasnt my fault at all might i add, so now having to pay for the remainder of the insurance for a car i no longer have, baffles me.
Yes i understand that adrian flux are a broker and not an insurance company and they pay a full years premium for you then you pay flux back either fully or monthly. But in my situation not having any choise but to cancel i found rather ridiculous tbh, i would have been happy to pay if i was wanting to cancel early due to finder a cheaper quote.
Imo stay away from broker's and go direct, nothing but a pain in the arse, from the lack of service and pathetic amount of time wasted on being stuck listening to B52's love shack, used to love that song, but now it just reminds me of a pathetic insurance/broker i used to be a member and sadley their name will not be passed on and recommended by me to any of my friends and family.

im glad you feel the same way.... ive now learnt from my mistakes cut the middle man and go direct cheaper and less hassle in the long run!

I've been with them for the last 3 years, And 2 years a while ago
So been with them for 5 years of my 11 years of driving

As of yet I haven't made a claim, so can't comment on that side of things.

But the one thing that bugs me each time renuwal comes round,
is that the price goes up by £150 to £250.
I then find a much cheaper quote, ring them up to tell them.
And they then match it, or beat it.......:wall:

Why not just give the best price to start with :y:

Hiya,

Sometimes we have more markets available if your car is modified depending on the car and the clients personal details. So sometimes it may make your insurance cheaper if you modify your car but not always.

Hope this helps,

Dan
