I suggest you just buy a new Central Processing Unit or CPU. I mean, the entire of it, not just the hard drive. Mine is DELL Optiplex 360 and it
is really working pretty well dude. Nah, this is just a suggestion.

That makes no sense! He isnt talking about buying a new Hard Drive! He wants a whole new computer!
Ebuyer is pretty affordable tbh. For what you want to use it for you wont need much.

Not sure how computer savvy u are, but me personally id build one myself. If you where to buy of say Scan.co.uk you can pay a little extra to cover your self during the putting together phase. Think its like £28. Means they will replace any part you break in installation for up to 30 days ( I think thats time limit).
Its quite simple to do, also means your computer is loaded with crappy adware for things like norton. Plenty of guides avail, try overclockers forum.
Failing that you need to decide what you want to be able to do. If its to play games on your gonna need more money than if its just to do a few spreadsheets/browse net etc.

cant find the edit function....i mean making your own will mean you wont have crap like norton.

please ignore my 2 posts. Tbh imo your better off with a lappy if thats all you want it for. Save your safe the space a desktop would take up. Get a external hardrive if you need extra storage space, Theyre cheap as chips nowadays
