i have had the saxo a few months now so have decided to do a progress thread
i came across the car when test driving another which was a pile of shit
knocked about 400 off what he wanted for the car as i didnt want any of the stereo he had in the car
i didnt have any pics of when i first got the car but it came with a scorpion exhaust (which was blowing) hi spec 285mm brakes, 16inch oz superleggas decat, induction kit and a strut brace
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2695.jpg
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2710.jpg
first of all i got the timing belt done and a full service
then got the exhaust sorted, full janspeed system
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2708.jpg
then got some bonnet raisers, but when fitted i thought looked pretty shit
then of a set morrettes which i had a go at spraying but it looked really bad so off to the sprayer it went
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2580.jpg
then got a cold air feed pipe for the morrette
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2705.jpg
stripping then started
moved the electric window switches
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2704.jpg
then came the buckets and harnesses, a set of sparco rev's and 4 point ricco harnesses
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2701.jpg
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2699.jpg
now i have got the grill back from the sprayer
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2698.jpg
next mission is to find out how much power the saxo putting out

That must either be a false dyno reading. (e.g. wrong gear. not 1:1) or more has been done to the engine. around 30 hp on breathing mods?? maybe 10 at most. I guess it could be at the bottom of the factory tolerances i guess

went to santa pod yesterday
an on board run against some american muscle clicky (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZFnOPnDj6g)
who says french is crap
best run for the day was my first but the reaction time was poor
1/4 15.1754 @ 89.96 mph

Could of broke the 14s with a better reaction time then good result for a breathed valver. Get a shorter box and some smaller wheels and it will transform it imo.

ignor the dates on these pics, stupid bloody camera
next update is brake cooling
first i started with 4 of these
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2914.jpg
and some of this
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2916.jpg
then removed my fog lights and smashed the glass out to leave this
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2912.jpg
then used a spare bit of the car that i have stripped out, i found that the old gear lever surround would fit for the size of plastic i was after
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2917.jpg
then cut out the plastic for for my cold air feed
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2920.jpg
attached the plastic to the fog light rear
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2922.jpg
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2921.jpg
then fitted it to where the fog light used to be
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2924.jpg
next was to cut out the inner arch
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2929.jpg
then put some flexible hose between the ducts
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s99/andyt1981/saxo/100_2930.jpg

looks a nice car
only two things i would change
morrettes in the rear (i think i seen in a pic)
and would use a black grill in the front (see raunchz to see what i mean), i think it compliments the morretes better
