Memory card warranty...

I bought a memory card for my phone last July and it gave up yesterday. No idea how. Does anybody know if these have to be covered by a years warranty? I know it's an electronics item, but didn't know if it was covered.

Yes! At my work we call items like that code 5 which means we would exchange or refund it up to the year.
