Hi all,
Whats a vtr like to use as a daily driver, for the commute to work and the like? How do they find them on the petrol.
Ive got a 306 rallye and Ive been stuck using it for work and at the minute its averaging 22-27mpg so looking at a vtr as a second car

Great dailys imo, as you have the mpg of a 1.1 if you drive sensible, but you can still overtake and and cruise at a sensible speed on the motorway without any problems.

Same, if you drive carefully you can get far better economy than a lot of the newer "eco" cars

I have a completely standard VTR and its pretty good on fuel. Filled up just over half the other day and have gone over 100 miles easy and still got a little bit left. Depends how you drive it.

230 miles my car did on a full tank of VPower so 115 miles on half a tank... thats driving like a complete tool everywhere!!
lol why even bother with v power in the first place?
i jst think its a better and cleaner fuel that only costs like 7p more than standard fuel so a full take of say 40 litres equals an extra £2.80 per tank and i use about 1 tank per week...so for an extra £10-£15 per month i get to use cleaner fuel which may save me money in the long run which is a little faster anyway :P
do you drive everywhere in first gear ffs ?!
lol yup :y: no as above i got 115 miles to half a tank driving like id stolen the car... iv now refilled it and im driving sensibly (changing gear at 3000rpm etc) to see what i get :D

And not sure about VTR mpg but in my VTS I did 225 miles on half a tank.

I average 42 to the gallon in my R, and thats with a combined city/country road 60 mile commute every day. I'd say for the fun they offer that that's pretty good.
340 miles to a tank is regular for me.
