Today at around 6 p.m. was driving to work, which is in a local village near my town. So I just fill the motor up with some petty. Cruising along listening to music. Coming up to my juntion to turn right. Then I see a few cars all close together. Bit unsual on this type of country road. Then I realise they are parked still and there is also a bus there. When I get even closer I see a smashed up motorbike and motorcyclist about 10M from the bike on a kurb.there were a few people around the motorcyclist and I think It must of just happened before I got there. I was thinking wether to stop and get out, but Im not a first aider and didnt witnesses and it looked like there was enough people there. So drove off, which so did a few other cars and went the long way around to work. Then I saw police and ambulance cars flying past me to the accident. I hate accidents, espicially when you see people like the motorcyclist like that. Horrible stuff.

Anyone else seen or been in stuff like this?

Saw a Reanault Megane hit the central reservation on some A road - flipped over and hit the fuel pumps. Two indian women managed to crawl out with no more than a sprained wrist. Was a bloody miracle lol

Yeah not that long ago I was travelling down the m3 and I witnessed a motorcyclist get hit by a car and then his body hit the central reservation, not very nice. Both vehicles were driving like idiots though.

when i was younger, (10, 11) their was a motorcyclist killed 2 roads away, car reversed off their drive and into the road, motorbike went straight into the side of the car and the rider went over and landed a fair distance away and died instantly, took 5 police to pull the bike out of the car :/

When I was in school some kid got run over by a bus. No white blanket was big enough to cover that up.

Couple of years ago was on my way up north to visit family was an accident just coming upto banbury i think, car had hit the central reservation spun several times crashing into another car and careering off the side of the motorway into a very deep ditch, did not look like anyone survived it. Horrible thing to see :(

Accidents cause other accidents, when I was about 11ish my mum and me were driving down the M4 towards Wales and there was a accident on the other side of the motorway, the car in the middle lane was too busy staring at the accident and went sideways into another car in the fast lane, the outcome was not pretty.

the other month i had a close encounter on the motorwat at night, joined the m4 off a sliproad then pulled into middle lane to over take put my foot down then immediately emergency braked and served into the fast lane(when its intense you dont reasie how quick you check things) a KA was sidewards in the middle of the road with the driver just looking at me like a rabbit in headlights as i got closer to her, then bout few metres down 2 lorries has pulled over and there was an ambulance, shat me up for rest of the drive

about 6 or more years ago near my nans house we were in the car coming to a t junction, next thing we see is a guy come flying off the back of a motorbike i was like wtf just happened, it wa soo quick and didnt know how it happened and he was just lying there after. always get a sick feeling inside when you see something like that. And today on way home after a nice nandos :p saw a police car on the dual carrigeway with a lady putting up cones and then as we drove past there was a car upside down so think it had just happened a few minutes before we went past, that gave me a sick feeling inside aswel :(. i expect most of us have driven past accidents that have happened but it feels crap when you actually see it happen :(

a few cars crash at the end of my road. left hand bend with a right turn + speeding drivers in wet conditions = smashed cars.

spotted a car at bottom of my road with its wheel on fire about 8 months ago.

3 years ago i saw a renault espcae in a storm drain in france you could just about tell it was an espcae must of rolled a fair few times

also went past a car that had crashed about 10 minutes before i got there

only the next day did i find out it was 1 of my cousins friends who i had only seen 2 days before

about half a year ago i was on my way to my gfs on my old 125 crosser, i was coming round a country lane than i know very well just coming up to a bend covered in grit doing about 60, (not a tight bend) a car came round the corner too fast and was sliding towards me on my side of the road, i swerved to miss him but as i dropped into the corner my bike slid out, so i went along the floor on my face bike in front of me, the bike hit the bank and i hit the bike face 1st, smashed the helmet badly, that hurt alot, not a nice experiance, really annoyed me as cars went past all staring at me, none stopped though :(

A couple of years ago I saw a MK1 Clio roll and hit a tree at a good old speed. Pulled over to help with the Mrs but as soon as I got close I told the Mrs to get back in the car and rang the police as there was nothing I could do, proper mess, the driver was dead at the scene. It looked like the car had slid into the curb flipped and straight into the tree.

Also on the M62 last year or so I saw a flatbed truck on the central reservation and completely crushed against a bridge support, the cab ended up at about 3ft if that. Found out later off a mate in the fire brigade the driver had fallen asleep at the wheel drifted across 3 lanes and done the above he also died at the scene.

It's horrible seeing things like that tbh.

my mates little brother saw a bloke on a bike get knocked off at a set of traffic lights. the car jumped them while speeding. my mates bro said he saw the biker looking at him and then his eyes glazed over. not a nice thing for a 15 year old to see. they were worried it was me because i had just got a blue ninja and there wasnt many of them in my town at that point. ive also seen a mate knocked off his bike after a car hit him. that was harsh but not as harsh as seeing his partner tell their 3 year old son that daddy wont be coming home and has gone to heaven.

FCS last year! everyone having a nice time me and the missus had just got a pint went out the front to have a natter with people to find a chevvy littlemobile in a ditch all battered up. Pub was full of people but there were a few medical types already there so everyone stayed back and watched. Deffinatly the best thing to do. Too many people and the people that are actually doing something can't move properly, plus the injured people get over whelmed by everyone asking are you alright and starring.

Seen 2 just this week!

First on on Wednesday... A police car was in lane one, flicked the blues and two's on and attempted to do a u-turn.... taking out a mini in lane 2.... cue the cop getting out of the car "I'm sooooo sorry..." was...unusual

And then driving to work the other morning there was a Fiat Punto on its roof on the A34!!! Dont know how it happened!!

Some guy was going along the main road by mine, doing 100+ on his bike (30mph zone), someone pulled out of a junction in a range rover. Guy on the bike ploughed into the front wing, flew over the bonnet and went nearly 200yards from the crash. He died, funnily enough.

I had a lucky escape on the M1 on Wednesday

Kept my distance (as usual) on a damp, dull morning

I saw break lights in the distance, so hovered above the pedal.

Without any warning, the car in front did a emergency stop at 70 MPH, with me aprox 2 seconds behind him (2 lamp posts behind, as that's the distance i keep)

I slammed the breaks on, epic sequel as i just ate the last part of the pad and stopped 6 inches short of his arse.

The car behind me stopped 6" from my arse.
Suddenly a massive screech and BANG. A car whacks a van up the arse at about 50mph. Debris everywhere.

I drove off, but there were about 6 or 7 cars involved in the shunt. They even got out their cars IN THE MIDDLE LANE to take details :O:O:O

What's more scary, i had a dream 2 nights previously that such a thing would happen.

That morning i thought about my dream, and it came true :O:O

If it was a Mk1, i can say the handling is DANGEROUS

Even taking Motorway slip road roundabouts at 30 you almost tipped over. Hence the reason i lowered mine as low as i can go on standard springs for my own safety tbh.
