Can't see the pic, but going by a few words in the URL I'm guessing it's an Evo 4?

Great cars and super fast, but they are starting to age a bit now. I know from experience that buying an oldish (10 year old) Japanese car can work out expensive... things will start to go wrong here and there and the repair bills will be substantially higher than that of your Saxo. Just some words of warning for you mate. Otherwise, yeah they are superb cars and I'd have one!

Chris is right, Only get one if you can easily afford it. If you can only just afford it forget it. Not worth it.

the Evo as chris said will cost a lot more to repair and to buy performance parts for. but apart from that just go for it

No Idea how much your turbo would be worth.

My girlfriend's MR2 Roadster needed a small sensor changed on her exhaust and it cost her £280 for just the sensor then extra to fit it.

My car needs a new CAT, the cheapest one is £299, just for the CAT, then the cost of fitting it on top. To get new spark plugs fitted is gonna cost me a fortune, as it's a V6 and only 3 plugs are visible, the other 3 I have got to take half the main plenium off to get to them.

You'll probably need to get a Tracker fitted in order to get insured on it. Luckily mine already had one fitted, so I just had to transfer the documentation and enablement over to my name (£110 a year subscription).

I'm guessing the EVO is an Import and not a UK Manufactured Mitsi?? If it is a Import (like mine), then it's more or less certain that you will need a Traker of some kind for most Insurer's....I think Adrian Flux was one of the only ones that didn't need one.

I think if you really want it then, fuck it, go for it..... I really wanted my FTO and no-one was gonna turn me off it, so I bought it and have loved the time I have had it, but now I have moved in to my own house with the missus, we are chucking both cars in to get just 1 between us.

Evo 4 will be an import and the running costs are high compared to a saxo, but you have to bear in mind what you are getting..... 4 wheel drive turbocharged animal with massive tuning potential. You will need a tracker as chris said and the fuel bill will be horrendous but they are superb cars to drive, fairly docile (if its got a standard clutch) around town but give the throttle a tickle and hang on....

If things start to go wrong the bills will the nasty, the diffs (there are 3) cost around £900 each, the YAW control computer had a recall on the Evo 4 and if it hasn't been done will fuck the system and will cost an arm and both legs.....

A guy off of the SSC had a 300ZX and seemed buried under repair bills although very much seemed to enjoy it.

Cost it up as much as you can, go on an Evo site and find out running costs/common problems etc and get and insurance quote and go from there.

Remember you'd have to sell the Saxo first, which isnt easy as you may find out. Unless you could afford the two?!
