best place to swap pounds to euro's

well as your all aware of im moving back to france next monay woop woop

but my problem is i have my savings in my english bank account it would cost me 25 pounds to transfer it to a french bank account before i even get to french bank charges and conversion rates.

so whats best for me to do ?

go to the post office ( hope i dont need a notice period or im screweded lol) swap me money and carry the money in my wallet and pray to god i dont loose it ?

bite the bullet and pay the transfer fee's ?

or split it or somthing ?

if its any help im with HSBC and Natwest. just kinda stumped about what to do with it as i need to get the most value for my money as im on a tight budget already
